How to Increase Concentration

Excuse me, I'm just getting a coffee...

Most of us feel like we don't concentrate as well as we'd like to.

We'd get more done, accomplish more, if we could just focus and concentrate, right?

Someone recently shared their frustration with me - he was tired of his inability to concentrate on his work.

So he challenged himself to focus for just five minutes - without any interfering thoughts.

He couldn't do it. And this failure was eating at him.

Well, I believe he's being too hard on himself.

Real concentration can be improved very easily.

The goal here is NOT to attain yogi-levels of concentration. ??

This method is a lot more human, which is to say: attainable.

Ready?

You can improve your concentration by 80% with two simple steps:

1) Decide what you will concentrate on and for how long.

This is a decision. A commitment. It can be for five minutes, fifty minutes or all day.

Simply decide: "What will I concentrate on? And for how long?"

2) When you notice your thoughts have strayed, gently direct them back.

Of course your thoughts will stray. You won't be able to control them. You don't need to.

When you notice your thoughts have strayed, direct them back to your focus.

That's it.

If you think of something important, have a place to write it down so you don't forget that million dollar idea. But don't jump to doing it.

That's it.

In the future, when you've mastered the ability to

(1) Decide what's important and

(2) Redirect your thoughts back to that one thing -

then you can go for yogi-level concentration.

(But what I'm describing here will take you 80% of the way there.)

Now, it's common for many consultants to be running in many directions.

Simply because it's not clear what FEW things they should do - to bring in ideal clients. Consistently.

If you lack a simple, clear, plan that brings you clients consistently, check out what we're doing at ProfitableRelationships.com.

Years - no, DECADES - of life are lost to lack of decision and lack of concentration.

Nothing will change, until you are focused on a simple plan to get ideal clients - that is a fit for your goals and your personality.

Without it, you can't concentrate. You can't focus.

With it - you become impossible to ignore. You become a peak performer.

Every one of us is obligated to perform at our peak.

It's the only way to truly live life.

Anything else, is mere existence.

If you're interested in getting that clarity of what should I be doing next to get the clients I want - send me a message.
