How to improve your LinkedIn profile (Part 1)

LinkedIn is a cool instrument to look for a job and employees simultaneously. To make it useful, you should fill out your profile information correctly. Let’s figure out how to do it.

??Profile picture.

A bad profile picture will scare away visitors, that is potential employers and clients. You need a high-quality photo that shows your face well. Take a portrait photo where your face is in sharp focus. Don't forget about the background image as well. Only some users have it, so get the edge on your competition.

??Heading.

It's right under your name, it's an important piece of information when it comes to your personal brand. The first few words can be seen on mobile screens, let them be important! Declare your role immediately, for example, Senior iOS Developer at N-company.

??Recommendations.

Recruitment process always works both ways. Brand yourself as a leader or a common employee. Recommendations are especially important for applicants for leadership roles such as Senior and Lead developers. List contacts to make a good impression as a valuable person.

Life hack: To get a good recommendation, start making recommendations yourself for people you know.

??Activities.

Your profile is made up of content that you post regularly. Indicate the achievements of your company, the events in which your employees have taken part, and publications about your products. You should talk about your activities. As a job seeker, write about the books you’ve read, your hobbies and habits. And last but not least, don’t miss your professional achievements!
