How to Improve User-friendliness of your Website

Today, users expect more than simple informative content and text from websites. Users prefer websites that provide a more contemporary and engaging experience. Right from the themes to the CTA placements on your website, every aspect has a significant impact on the time spent by any visitor on your webpage.

Well, the good news is that you can always make your interface more user-friendly. Here are some effective ways that will help you in this regard.

1)   Pay attention to your users

Ensure to collect feedback from your regular users. Ask them what they would like to find on your webpage. This will help you in discovering any missing aspect that you might not find on your own. Most often, users know exactly what they dislike about any site. You need to make an effort to gather valuable information from those comments and use them to your benefit. You will find a significant increase in traffic as well as in your revenues.

2)   Fasten the pace

Users expect the loading speed of any website to be at a lightning pace. Some of them even say that they wait for a website to load for two seconds and leave the site if it does not do so by the third second. Speed matters when it is about retaining visitors on your website. It gives them more time for interacting and engaging with the website. This subsequently increases the time for decision making and taking action.

You can use tools such as Page Speed Insights and Pingdom to help you check the speed of your website. You can optimize your site images along with checking the speed of your server.

3)  Have intuitive navigation

Visitors always look for the navigation bar in any website for familiarizing with the webpage. A navigation bar is crucial as it helps the visitor throughout their site journey and assists in returning to the landing page. Limit the categories in the navigation bar to avoid over-bulking of your website. You also need to have the same position of the navigation bar in every web page.
