There are many global business and economic challenges we face as academics, industry practitioners, government officials and community stakeholders. It is important that we stop, reflect, and listen to each other in an environment that is safe for teaching and learning.
These are tough times. Contribution to the "greater good" by telling our stories, sharing our presence, and raising our voices is important. The photo above was taken during the the 8th International Conference for Business & Economic Development held in New York city last year. Professor Dennis Fox, Professor of Accounting at MEC CUNY is on the first row. Professor Fox was an active participant in last year's conference and had planned to present a paper with co-authors at the conference this year. Professor Fox succumbed to complications related to COV19; he was loved for his passion for students, teaching, and learning. Professor Fox will be missed. All must journey in a path which can end at any time, but we must be vigilant in doing our work as was Professor Fox and his legacy will live on as we remember him in continuing the important work of teaching and learning business & economics during this year's conference.
The 9th International Conference for Business & Economic Development co-hosted by CBER & MEC is from August 20-22nd in an inaugural on-line format.
Research will be presented on finance, economics, management, #discriminations , wealth disparity, economic development, #entrepreneurship, #leadership, #education, community development and other topics by international and domestic scholars, practitioners, and government officials.
