How important is logistics for a retailer

This week I have been invited to the CTP CMD 24 event, where together with Bert Hesselink and Alexandru Catana, we have discussed in front of CTPs investors about very actual topics, such as how instrumental is a good logistic support for the growth of a retailer, how important is the country infrastructure for its economic development, why do you need to find the right workforce and automation mix to resource your business, the growing focus on ESG and its benefits, and how foreseeable is the continuous Romanian economic growth for FY25 and 26.

I have learned about #Friendshoring, a new trend in logistic generated by the political instability in the neighborhood, and I proudly shared the story of Profi amazing growth, at a CAGR of more than 20%, becoming the largest retail network in terms of national presence as basis for Ahold Delhaize acquiring our business.
