In business there are only one person making the decisions and that person is called a CEO. The most important qualities of a CEO are integrity, humility, respect, and empathy. These qualities are what lead to happiness in your business because when you are doing the right thing your employees will also be happy and they will know that their leader cares about them. In businesses where people are not happy they often do not perform as well and the leaders do not achieve success. So I challenge all business owners to use these three qualities of leadership and to show their employees how much they mean to them through integrity, humility, respect, and empathy.
Why Is Integrity Important in the Workplace?
"In looking for people to hire, you look for three qualities: integrity, intelligence, and energy. And, if they don't have the first, the other two will kill you."
~ Warren Buffett
The importance of integrity in the workplace is something that all people who are working in such an environment need to understand, whether they are employers or not. This is because a company that does not have integrity in the workplace will soon lose customers or clients and will be left behind if it is not able to retain them. If you work in an office or a company building, and you see someone being dishonest in the workplace or trying to scam others you can be sure that it will not take long before this person will be taken out of the building and will not be invited back any time soon. You need to learn how to keep your integrity when you make a mistake in order to avoid such consequences.
Ensure maintaining your integrity at work
There are many ways in which you can ensure that you are maintaining your integrity at work. The first way in which this can be achieved is by learning about the definition of integrity and what it means. You may already know that integrity is doing the right thing in the face of temptation from those whom you wish to do wrong. When you make a direct download video on the internet and upload it you are making an honest mistake, however, this does not mean that you are not being honest, you are just being very careful in choosing what you publish. This same principle is used when you submit documents for publication or when you give away information through email.
Putting your credibility on the line
Another example is when you make a business transaction online you are being very careful and you are putting your credibility on the line, however, if you make a mistake you are more likely to suffer the consequences of this than someone who chooses to deal face to face. All these examples teach us the importance of integrity in the workplace and you need to remember this when you are dealing with those whom you need to trust and those whom you need to respect. Why is integrity important in the workplace? Simply because it will allow you to get on with your tasks even when you make a mistake.
Integrity The Most Important Quality Of A Leader
"I am sure that in estimating every man's value either in private or public life, a pure integrity is the quality we take first into calculation, and that learning and talents are only the second."
~ Thomas Jefferson
Integrity is an attribute that is considered by most successful leaders as the most important quality of a leader. As a leader, it demands truthfulness and integrity from you and your co-workers or team so that you can build trust amongst your colleagues. Lack of integrity will cause problems not only for the present situation but for the organization as a whole. There will be many instances wherein if your integrity is not strong enough, you will end up being exposed thus, having to answer for your actions whether it is your actions that caused damage to the company or not. Therefore, integrity is indeed the most important quality of a leader.

The leadership traits of integrity
In a study conducted by Cornell University, it was found out that the leadership traits of integrity and leadership are really connected. According to this study, those individuals who have high integrity tend to be more honest and are able to see right through people; they are also able to take responsibility and are not afraid to take it upon themselves rather than seeking permission from other people to do something. These characteristics also make them prone to self-confidence and one is able to lead by example. The leadership skills that come with high integrity is what makes it easy for these individuals to be charismatic and inspire their fellow team members to do the same.
Furthermore, it has also been proven that those individuals who display high levels of integrity are not only seen as credible in their profession but also in their private life. When it comes to the personal life of an individual, it shows how they handle themselves and how they would want their loved ones to do the same. It also shows how they would treat their fellow coworkers. High integrity is what makes it easy for a leader to motivate his or her team members to do their work well. It also makes it possible for the leader to gain trust among their colleagues.
Why Personal Integrity Is Important?
"The strongest thing that any human being has going for itself is its own integrity and its own heart. As soon as you start veering away from that, the solidity that you need to stand up for what you believe in, just isn't going to be there."
~ Herbie Hancock
Many of my students ask me why personal integrity is important in the bible studies they teach each year. They want to know that they can use the Bible to help them become better people, and that they can apply God's principles to their lives so they can achieve something positive out of life. I always tell them that they are going to find a way to make personal choices that will enhance who they are as an individual and as a person in relationship with God. Sometimes the Bible will inspire you to become more aware of how you treat those you are close to, how you show integrity in your words and deeds, and how you follow Christ's example in everything you do. These are important lessons and you can take these same principles and apply them to daily life.
What you need to say to help others?
One of the biggest reasons why personal integrity is important in a small group setting like a bible study group is because you have a unique opportunity to share with others what you have learned from God's word. Sometimes you will have to look deep within yourself to determine what you need to say to help others understand the biblical truths you are teaching. At times you may even need to consider how you can relate the teachings you have learned to situations you may face in your daily life. If you are not motivated to share with others what you have learned from God, you may not want to share with anyone else either.
You have a opportunity to form bonds with others
The last reason why personal integrity is important in a bible study group is because you have a chance to walk with God in each one of your relationships. You have a opportunity to form bonds with others who have walked on the same pathway as you have walked, or you have a chance to reach out and touch countless lives by offering God's love and His blessings. You have a chance to demonstrate that you have a life of purpose beyond your regular living. You have a chance to demonstrate that you have a love of God and a desire to serve Him daily. It is through this ongoing process of walking with God that you will find true lasting success.
Conclusion
Integrity is a precious gift for those who are genuinely good in their own regard, but it's more valuable when it serves as a pillar supporting the lives, the happiness and prosperity of others. James Pierce's "Words of the Wise Man" provides guidance on how to preserve your integrity. To be successful in today's world - both personally and professionally, you need to make sure that you are doing the right thing by those around you, and when the time comes to step aside and leave others in a worse situation, your integrity will always hold. The state of being whole is often viewed as an unattainable goal, but with wise decisions and actions, you can live the life you've always wanted.

3 年Interesting read Surajit Roy . I am a motivated and a proud member of BNI Global . In #BNI we have a saying, rather a continuum called VCP process. That says #Visibility Leads to #Credibility #Credibility (two parts here, #EarlyCredibility first and then it leads to #DeeperCredibility) leads to #Profitability. So Credibility is a sum total of accountability, honesty, impeccable work ethic, reputation and the integrity.
