Denmark's new time tracking law, or lov om tidsregistrering, as they call it, has several important aspects to protect employees.

1. Time-tracking data must be available to the employee and can be changed to ensure honesty and transparency.
2. The employer must keep the tracked time data for 5 years.

Compliance with the time measurement directive will likely extend to other European Union countries in the future.
