How to Impact the Future – Vote

How to Impact the Future – Vote

Every four years, we hear it: This is the most important election of our lifetime. But this time? It’s not just talk. This election is a make-or-break moment, and the future is staring us in the face. Have you voted yet?

The single most powerful thing you can do to shape tomorrow — the next four years, the next century — is vote next week. As an African American woman, this hits hard for me. I’m fully aware of this responsibility because my parents couldn’t vote until their 40s. Let that sink in: they were denied the right to vote just because of the color of their skin.

And let’s not forget, millions around the world still fight for that basic right — or never get it at all. So, when we skip out on voting, we dishonor the sacrifice, the lives, the blood, sweat, and tears that got us here. Voting isn’t just a right. It’s a responsibility. And if you don’t take it seriously, you’re doing a disservice to history.

Remember, elections have been won or lost by razor-thin margins. Thinking your vote doesn’t count? That’s the dangerous mindset that could sink us. What if 10,000 people thought the same? Now the results are out of your hands, and guess what? You’ve lost your right to complain. If you don’t show up, you can’t speak up.

So, what do you want the future to look like? Our presidential candidates offer two drastically different paths, both ready to shake up life as we know it. And yeah, maybe the world needs some changes — but what kind of changes? If you don’t cast your vote, you’re letting someone else decide.

America’s voting system is built on your voice. Yet when only 50%, 60%, or 70% of people show up, it’s missing the full picture. How do we fix that? Simple: you vote.

I know, you’ve heard this a thousand times. So here’s one more push to get that ballot into the box or show up at the polls on Tuesday. There’s no excuse. Think about the people across the globe who dream of having the voice you do. You have the power to impact the future right here, right now.

No more waiting. Vote.
