How I'm Building A World-Class Brand Based on Kind Communication

As I look around at businesses and entrepreneurs during this time, I see some leaders caring and some not so much. For instance, I belong to a beach club in my town and I paid the full amount to belong. They cared very little for their plants during the process and it didn't seem well-run, organized or even with optimal customer service. But then I look at companies that are doing wonderful in the area, also entrepreneurial and making big advances on customer service, follow ups and more. For instance, my new doctor. They called, followed up, emailed right away, researched other doctors for me and truly made a difference.
There's something to be said for "customer experience" and customer service. While some don't care normally, and for those that certainly don't give a flying ___ during Covid-19, we've certainly got some case studies to come and that I will share shortly.
As for my brand, I am a business and leadership coach and consultant focussing on marketing brands and personal brands as well as authoring books on communication. I put every ounce of detail and personal touch into my emails, my clients, my calls and products sent in the mail and to the touches, even on my social media channels. I offer special gifts to clients for loyalty and I make sure everyone is heard and loved and cared for, no matter what package they have- because they all matter to me. I am grateful for every single one of them and they know it because I am sure to tell them and pay attention to the details to do so.
When I build brands for clients in the form of marketing campaigns, strategy or even business calls to help clients succeed, they are heard and loved and cared for and our conversations are remembered and quoted upon so that they can truly receive the best care.
Building a brand takes an enormous amount of effort but customer appreciation, wow-factor moments and client experience don't really take much after that- it's the personal touch that matters. And while my beach club went all summer handing out towels that were far too small and not even considered beach towels to me and my friends who invested a ton of cash to be a member, that will certainly be remembered and I will certainly tell everyone about it because it was awful. They also went all summer without watering their plants, left some of the places a mess in full eye view and it really looked like they didn't care. They took our money and that was it. No care. No concern. No love.
There's a huge difference in that. People notice. I take notice because I'm a leadership coach and I watch the psychology of people and brands but in general, how do you want to live out your legacy? Are you just running your business or are you making it world class? Are you coasting through your job or are you making it a winning success to create, innovate and be your best?
