How I Write Million-Dollar Copy (a simple 3 step process)

Step 1: Who am I writing to?
you want this to be ONE REAL PERSON
- a current client
- a past client
- a current dream prospect
the reason you write to ONE REAL PERSON is four fold
- it MAGNETSISES them (and everyone like them)
- it ATTRACTS them (and everyone like them)
- it ENTANGLES them (and everyone like them)
- it RESONATES with them (and everyone like them)
once you have the ONE REAL PERSON in mind, you then identify the stage of awareness (SOA) they're at
are they:
- UNAWARE
- PROBLEM AWARE
- SOLUTION AWARE
- PRODUCT AWARE
- MOST AWARE
example:
I am writing to Nick, a current dream client, who is SOLUTION AWARE and actively looking to solve their problems of XYZ
Step 2: What am I trying to say?
once I know WHO I am writing to, I answer this question
and I use a powerful copywriting RULE to answer it
The Rule Of One
- what is my ONE BIG IDEA
- what is my ONE COMPELLING STORY
- what is my ONE AROUSED EMOTION
- what is my ONE DESIREABLE BENEFIT
- what is my ONE CALL TO ACTION
... by focusing on the RULE OF ONE you simplify your copy
when you focus on too many things your copy becomes word salad
it becomes confusing and complex
-- and a confused mind says NO every single time
example:
- my ONE BIG IDEA = less is more when it comes to scaling a business
- my ONE COMPELLING STORY = how Meeta made $31k in 48 hours focusing on one key thing
- my ONE AROUSED EMOTION = excitement
- my ONE DESIREABLE BENEFIT = knowing what data matters to you
- my ONE CALL TO ACTION = watch the accompanying video
Step 3: How am I trying to say it?
I know who I am writing to
I know what I am trying to say
... now, I used the persons STAGE OF AWARENESS to identify how I am going to say it
did you know each SOA has a specific kind of message that captures their attention?
- UNAWARE = story
- PROBLEM AWARE = secret
- SOLUTION AWARE = problem
- PRODUCT AWARE = promise
- MOST AWARE = offer
because I am writing to a SOLUTION AWARE person, I would start with their biggest, most painful problem
depending on the type of copy I am writing, this would be in my:
- subject line
- hook
- title
- thumbnail
- headline
- ad creative

... and the first line of the copy
in this example, I am writing an email where the intent is to get someone to click the link to watch an accompanying youtube video
so, the PROBLEM would be in my:
- subject line
- first fold of the email (what someone sees before they scroll)
- youtube video title
- youtube video thumbnail
- reason why they should click the link
what this does is RESONATE, MAGNETISE, ATTRACT, AND ENTANGLE PEOPLE who have that problem
it gets their attention ...
... and then the rest of the email copy can continue to shift their emotional state so they feel like they HAVE TO click the link to find out about the solution
example:
SUBJECT LINE: If You Don't Know Your Data You'll Never Scale Your Business
Email:
do you actually know they key data to look at that determines your business growth?
if you're like 90% of business owners, you don't ...
it changes whether you're:
- running ads
- creating content
- selling via DM
- selling over the phone
- selling online
knowing what data matters for you can help you scale 10x faster
why?
because you'll know where your leverage is
Meeta didn't know what her key data was
she was sitting on a 7-figure income
but she was struggling to consistently break $10k/mo
she had 10,000+ people on her email list ...

next time you go to write copy, try this process out
it'll take you a while at first
but once you become comfortable with it, it'll take just a few minutes
and your copy will become first-class and be written much faster
