How I Use Hilton Grand Vacations’ Team Member Travel Benefits To Fulfill My Travel Bucket List
Hilton Grand Vacations
We offer unique career opportunities in the most sought-after vacation destinations around the world.
Workplace burnout is one of the top concerns of Gen Z and young millennials — and with workplace stress at an all-time high since 2021, it makes sense that young professionals want to know how to curb it and maintain sustainable careers.
Hilton Grand Vacations’ director of content and social media, Catalina H., recently spoke to the summer intern class, addressing their questions, several of which were about managing burnout.
“Get to know yourself,” advised Catalina. “You need to figure out what energizes you. It could be working out, meditation or maintaining work-life balance. For me, it’s travel. I stay refreshed and reenergized as long as I can take a few long vacations a year and immerse myself in a new place and culture. So travel is incredibly important to me.”
“And in terms of travel, Hilton Grand Vacations has my dream employee perks. I have gone everywhere from Maui, Hawaii, to London with Team Member travel benefits,” she said.
Hilton Grand Vacations believes in the power of travel and vacations — for our Members, Guests and Team Members — providing benefits such as improved productivity, increased creativity and reduced stress. That’s why our Team Member travel program is just one of Hilton Grand Vacations’ many fantastic benefits.
Catalina shared an example of how she used the Team Member travel program. “My most recent trip was to London. We went as a group of four with my significant other and our good friends. We stayed at the fabulous 100 Queen's Gate Hotel London, Curio Collection by Hilton . We spent a lot of time discovering the many quaint streets of London, eating our way through the city and taking a tour of Buckingham Palace , which recently reopened to visitors. It was magnificent and worth it to see the history that sits within those ornate walls.”
It wasn’t just the sights that made this trip special but being able to share it with friends — a unique perk to Hilton Grand Vacations’ travel program. Catalina added, “It was my first time in England and some of my friends’ first time in Europe, which made the trip more special. With the Team Member travel perk, I’ve not only been able to go to some of my top destinations but also treated friends and family to the same experience — even helping a friend honeymoon at Rome Cavalieri, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Italy.”
While many companies offer travel benefits or competitive paid time off (PTO), Hilton Grand Vacations has created an environment that allows Team Members to take the time they need, when they need it. “Being a vacation company means it’s in our culture to understand the value of vacations and encourage our teams to take advantage of their paid time off . I think that makes a big difference,” she said. “When everyone values PTO, it’s easier to take it. And because all Team Members are encouraged to use it, we jump in to help each other, so it is a seamless experience for everyone.”
Hilton Grand Vacations’ people-first culture goes beyond PTO. “Hilton Grand Vacations has offered me countless opportunities, both in terms of travel and my career,” said Catalina. “I just celebrated my sixth work anniversary. I started as a specialist and have grown into my current director role. I’ve always felt valued at Hilton Grand Vacations. I’m not just another employee but a Team Member whose expertise and opinions are heard and applied.”
Catalina’s career — and travel bucket list — has just begun. “I love that sometimes I go places I didn’t have on my list because an irresistible deal pops up. Some of those stays have become special destinations to me, like the Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya Resort , one of the most stunning resorts I’ve been to.”
