As a social entrepreneur who's also big on God, I've always believed that God has a unique purpose and potential for each of our lives. But if I'm being honest, there have been countless times when I've let fear hold me back from fully stepping into that potential.
Fear of failure, fear of the unknown, fear of not being enough; these are the whispers that have often kept me playing small, sticking to what's safe and familiar rather than daring to dream bigger.
But there was a pivotal moment in my entrepreneurial journey when I realized that my fear was not only holding me back but also keeping me from fully honouring the gifts and calling that God had placed on my life.
It was during a particularly challenging season in my startup when I was faced with a major decision. I had the opportunity to pivot my business in a direction that felt risky and uncertain, but also aligned with the impact I felt called to make. But I was paralyzed by fear – fear of making the wrong choice, fear of losing everything I had built.
That's when I stumbled upon a verse in 2 Timothy that stopped me in my tracks: "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." (2 Timothy 1:7)
This truth hit me like a lightning bolt. I realized that the fear I was experiencing was not from God. In fact, it was keeping me from accessing the power, love, and wisdom that He had already given me.
So I decided to take a step of faith. I committed to a daily practice of surrendering my fears to God and asking for the courage to take bold, obedient action. I surrounded myself with mentors and accountability partners who challenged me to dream bigger and trust in God's plan.

And slowly but surely, I started to see a shift. As I leaned into my God-given potential, I found the clarity and conviction to make the pivotal decisions that ultimately led to breakthrough in my business.
But more than that, I discovered a new level of purpose and fulfillment that could only come from aligning my entrepreneurial pursuits with my faith. I realized that my success isn't just about achieving milestones or making money, but about using my gifts to glorify God and serve others.
Hey, if you're someone who's been letting fear hold you back, hear this: God has not given you a spirit of fear. He has already equipped you with the power, love, and wisdom you need to step into your full potential.
It's not always easy, and it requires a daily commitment to faith and obedience. But when we dare to dream bigger and trust in God's plan, we open ourselves up to a world of impact and purpose beyond our wildest imagination.
Yours Truly,
Chito
