Hello everyone, I'm Sangram and if you don't know me, then visit my profile or else visit my blog where I've elaborately described who am I and what do I do.
Last year on the 12th of July 2019 I've finished my 2WikiYears and set this world record as the 3rd contestant after two more Indian editors from Telugu and Punjabi.
How did the journey start?
The journey on Wikipedia started in 2014 and the journey for this was started on 8th Marth 2017, but after 1st 100 days, I took a break which was the bad decision of my life.
But from 13th July 2017, the journey started for 1 Wiki Year and still going on, where I've completed 3 Wiki Years now and had written more than 1500 new articles on Odia Wikipedia.
Why I'm doing this?
As you all know, Wikipedia is an opensource platform where we are writing as volunteers and doing everything without expecting anything.
But there are lots of things which are helping and motivating to write more and more and continue this journey. By writing there every day, I have learned how to write properly, I came to know lots of personality from Odisha.
In the 1st 365 days of the journey, I came to know about the Odia Film Industry Ollywood and the films, actors, struggles, losses, and lots of things.
It took more than 400 days to write about the released Odia films and now some people from the Industry know me and through them, I'm getting some old stories, histories of the industry from the old and experienced people which may never possible without this.
After completing all the films, I have started writing on the Odia politicians who elected to Indian Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha, and Odisha Vidhan Sabha. Previously I had less knowledge about Odisha Politics, but now day by day, I'm knowing about the good and bad eras of Odisha in both politics and history.
Does this a record mentioned anywhere?
No, this is not a Ginij book or Limca Book record, it's just a record mentioned in between the users from the #100wikidays group.
And I never thought to name it as a world record, but the reporter who reported this one had mentioned this as a world record. Yes, some people misled it towards the Ginij and Limca book, but this was just a Newsbeat.
This is all about the whole story and the Wiki Journey. I'm continuing it now and might continue in the future.
