In this post, I’ll share how I approach predicting major events like elections, and I hope you’ll gain insights to apply in your own life.
On 19 Jul 2024, four months before the U.S. Presidential Election, I predicted a Donald Trump win despite many influential voices supporting Kamala Harris. Predicting outcomes isn’t always comfortable, and not everyone will agree, but my goal is to help others gain clarity and prepare for what may come.
Over the past few months, I’ve been sharing thoughts on how to prepare investment gameplans for a Trump win. This isn’t hindsight—its foresight based on a clear thought process.
As such, I will pull the curtains and show you my thought process.
The Process: How to Make Predictions
1. Filter Out the Noise
- To see things clearly, you need to be present with yourself and block out distractions—media opinions, social pressures, and personal biases. Act as a neutral observer of the universe and focus only on reliable information (not some trash talks on TikTok or Facebook).
2. Let Go of Bias
- Don’t let personal preconceived opinions influence your observations. True insight comes from seeing things as they are, without attachment to an outcome. Practicing selflessness helps you see more objectively.
Why I Predicted a Trump Win Against All Odds
1) Opinion Polls Aren’t Everything. Opinions cannot stand the test of time and can be misleading when it does not always capture the big picture. In our era, there will be trillions of opinions on the internet space. It is a legit challenge for a leader to earn the public trust because any missteps might lead to billions of untruths or half-truths surfacing. Leadership and public trust matter more than poll numbers.
2) True leadership speaks from the heart and stands strong without a script. People look for leaders who understand their policies and can connect with the public’s real concerns, like inflation and rising cost of living. A leader who speaks authentically has an edge. Kamala Harris do not know her policies well enough. At her rallies, her speeches are well prepared and without a teleprompter, she is unable to function and properly express the free will of the American electorate with gusto.
3) Competence gives you Likeability. Donald J Trump has shown consistent improvement and resilience, adapted his approach and stayed relevant. An evolving leader can surprise even seasoned observers. Although he has haters, numbers have shown that the number of people hating on him is decreasing consistently. To be Mr. or Mrs. Congeniality, you have to demonstrate competency.
4) Words matter—speak with care, kindness, and respect, even to those who oppose you. Kamala Harris saying, 'you guys are at the wrong rally'. This comment went viral for all the wrong reasons saying that Harris is Anti-Christ when she is not. This comment set the waves of trollers regurgitating an untruth or half-truth based on a brief context.
5) Public Perception of Competence. Voters are increasingly more wise and able to separate who is capable from who is popular. They understand that policies affect their lives, often valuing substance over their individual likes and preferences.
6) Strength under fire. Donald Trump is the first U.S. president who not only aimed to build a wall to prevent illegal immigration but also survived two assassination attempts during his candidacy. This resilience has earned him support from figures like Elon Musk, who see his actions under pressure as a test of true character. In a U.S. democracy, these experiences reveal Trump's commitment to his role, placing the safety and interests of citizens above his own. His consistent determination shows in his actions, not just his words. Remarkably, his energy and drive are as strong as someone much younger—he’s shown he won’t give up easily.

7) Intention and Purpose: In his younger years, Donald Trump never wanted to serve in public office, calling it a "mean life." The fact that he chose to run for office speaks volumes about his commitment and dedication to serving the American people. This kind of commitment resonates with voters who prioritize dedication.
8) Uniting Against Inflation: Only a Leader with Real Financial Know-How Can Ease America's Pain. Feel the pain and struggles of Americans facing rising costs and high inflation—a challenge shared by people in all 195 countries worldwide. To lead effectively, a U.S. president must address this pressing issue. Donald Trump may be better suited for this task, as his financial knowledge sets him apart from his competitor.
Even if you're a billionaire, consider this: if you don't pass on your wealth or your financial know how, will your children be able to cope with the rising cost of living and high inflation?
As the middle class shrinks and the wealthy grow richer, society becomes more unbalanced—like a pyramid with a narrow base. This kind of structure isn’t sustainable for the long term for human civilization.
What does it matter if your stock portfolio increases by millions or billions, when everyone around you is struggling? True happiness doesn’t come from wealth alone. You may find yourself with fewer people to connect with, only able to talk to a small circle of wealthy friends. Imagine how lonely that could feel.
Throughout my personal investing journey, I’ve always encouraged others to invest, but those who haven’t listened may only realize the impact of not doing so 40 to 50 years from now. Inflation is like a slow, unnoticed poison that gradually eats away at your wealth. I’m simply sharing this awareness, so you’re not blindsided and stuck in your comfort zone.
On another note, if Joe hadn’t dropped out of the race, there’s still a 50% chance Joe could have won the presidential election (which I have taken into consideration into my prediction). From his actions, he has shown me that he’s at least five times stronger than Kamala Harris. However, if you’re relying on him to make living costs more affordable, he might face a tough challenge in delivering that.

3 个月Too many things stacked against Harris. She entered the race late. Even if she had entered at the start, the pro-R states would probably not vote for a woman. They prefer "strongman" leadership and the Donald is strong and resilient. Having many Democrat American friends, I understand that most are disappointed with the Election results. Well, they did their part. They voted. Had I been a voter, I could be swayed by the "strongman" leadership. I don't know for sure but it's possible. To make my country great again, what's not to like?
