How I lowered my A1C from 14.6 to 5.6 in 4 months
In October, 2022 I was told I was diabetic. That I urgently needed to be on insulin for the rest of my life. I refused to accept that which my Dr of course was not happy with. I told her I was going back to the basics and would come back in 6 months after doing everything I possibly could to reverse course and that if it was still high I would give in and take anything she wanted me to take. My A1C was 14.6 (Very very high).
I took action in every aspect of my life and over the next four months learned and put in to place practices and beliefs that helped me ultimately bring my A1C down to 5.6. This wasn't easy, it was a lot of work and commitment.
I became a new better version of myself. I am the healthiest I have ever been, My body fat % went from over 30% to 16% today, my muscle mass and most importantly skeletal muscle mass went up, I lost over 40 lbs and am currently at 193 lbs standing at 5'9" I have more energy and feel more vibrant even in the midst of personal turmoil.
These are the steps I took and implemented in to my life that have improved my overall wellness and longevity. Of course it starts with food and there is so much more.
