How I have changed myself and taken my Country and Industry to the next level?

How I have changed myself and taken my Country and Industry to the next level?

  1. I have Big Dreams and Goals in my Life: I have always asked myself two questions:, "What is the deepest wish for your soul? What is the biggest dream you want to achieve in your life?" When you turn this question in your brain it will lead you to uncomfortable results. When you achieve your ambition you will feel a unique spiritual fullness. You need to learn from the past but most importantly focus on the future. This will help you in your commitment to change the world.
  2. I have been Committed to my Education and Personal Development: You need to have full Willingness to give up your personal time and full energy to anything which you believe in. I have missed many family gathering due to my prior personal development commitment. I have invested thousands of dollars in my study (i.g. MBA, MSc Marketing, Diploma in Business Research, etc.). I have been selected in the National CEO Program when 840 candidates applied and only 35 leaders had been selected where companies like Mackenzie were used by the Royal Court of Diwan to review applications, interview candidates and announce the selected name. I have attended many personal development training such as time management, effective communication skills, team leadership, Sales Academy, attended seminars with Leadership expert (i.g. John Maxwell), etc. Have you invested in yourself from your own pocket while your family is in a huge need for these money? This is the difference between the people committed to change the world and others?
  3. I am always Out of my Comfort Zone: Familiarity and routine give you a sense of safety and predictability. If you want to change the surrounding, your industry or society, you must get out of this comfort zone. You have to address your fears, learn new technologies, move to a new department, move to another country, accept new challenges or even change your job. If you stay where you are for ages, do not expect that you can change the world. Would you leave a very stable job with a great salary to join a start-up with a six month contract? I have accepted a role with a tech-start up from Silicon Valley. I was offered a six month contract and I accepted it. It was an opportunity to visit San Francisco, meet with highly ambition people who believe that they can change the world, visit Stanford and understand what Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning mean. I also accepted role outside my key industry. I used to work only within Oilfield, but I accepted roles in software, consultancy and manufacturing industries. I am willing to accept roles in any industries which appreciate my Business Development and Commercial skills.
  4. I have Understood Customers' need and Bridged the Gap: I often met with Senior Management in different organizations (i.g. MD, CEO, COO, CFO, Presidents, General Managers, etc.) and I always ask a one critical question, "What keeps you awake during the night". Do you have the courage to ask this question? This question has helped me to understand what the market/industry needs. Therefore I have done my market intelligence research and used my global networking to bring the right solutions to different customers. If you talk with customers about their pain area, you will defiantly get a business with them either today or in the near future.
  5. I Focus on Differentiation (Not Cost): I have never had any intention to be part of any #Price_War!. I always say, “Lead, follow or get out of the way!” I have been actively looking forward to talking to #Innovative Companies which provide #Unique and #Differentiated Products, Services or Solutions. Yes, I have not owned any technologies to offer but I have looked for solutions that allow my industry and my country to improve Productivity, Enhance performance, increases productions and reduce cost. I have always been committed to Take Oman to the Next Level.
