How I grew my YouTube channel to 30,000 Subscribers

Over the last 5 years I have grown my YouTube following base from 0 to ~30,000 subscribers on YouTube.

That has resulted in 100's of customers, millions in sales and a growing community of thought leaders, decision makers influencers and 10,000's of leads.

Here are the Top 11 Tools * that I use to personally use to grow my social media following:?

LinkTree: (https://linktr.ee/)

I use Linktree to create multiple links to my social media profiles where I can only add a single website link or domain. For example on Instagram there is only a single website allowed. Use?

LinkTree to add a link to that account which users can then browse your other links to: events, merch, youtube page, course offerings and more.?

YouTube Buddy: (https://www.tubebuddy.com/)

I have been using youtube buddy for 4 years helping me optimize all of my youtube content. It has tag tools based on relevance, keyword score and search traffic. It lists out 11 best practices to optimize each video. Helps you make changes to videos easier / faster than YouTube studio alone.??

Short.io: (https://short.io/)?

This is an amazing application that allows you to shorten domain names. But the genius way I discovered someone use was two fold:?

  1. It was to create a single domain that you can use to create unified links to your offerings.?

On my youtube comments section you will govconeric.com/join. This will take you to my free course. During sales months, I redirect to my paid programs.??

Or govconeric.com/books. This allows me to create links to my Amazon page for my books.??

On YouTube or any static channel once you have so many videos/posts to go back and change your links in the description is nearly impossible.

However, if you have a group of links created from short.io now you can just change where the links point and redirect everyone in one single swoop. No need to edit 100’s of videos / blogs or make changes to the descriptions.??

  1. It is easier to pronounce and spell versus my channel names and long website links. Govconeric is three syllables and easy to spell. So we can make announcements .??

May seem basic but this is a challenge when you are speaking in front of an audience and do not have visualizations.??

Google Domains (https://domains.google/)?

I love Google domains because with a gmail account you can buy domains quickly, cheaply and easily with logging into another platform.?

As a marketer who stands up 100’s of landing pages and domain links it makes it easier to come up with new ideas / variations automatically.?

Morningfame. (https://morningfa.me/)

This is a tool that analyzes my youtube channel for growth and ranks each video that I post versus competitors videos.?

For example within 24 hours it will show my rank based on a host of details, title, length for my category, likes, comments etc.?

Having this data helps me determine what traits do my best performing videos have versus non performing content. Then I can go back and refine my videos based on the recommendations.?

PicMonkey: (https://www.picmonkey.com/home)

Photoediter. I use it to help create graphics, thumbnails and other images that I need for posts, blogs, articles etc. Now I have a team, but when I have a last minute need I still go back to picmonkey.?

Pixabay: (https://pixabay.com/)

Great place to source free graphics and images. Huge selection of free open source graphics to be used in the public domain. They tout nearly 3 million images.?

ActiveCampaign (https://www.activecampaign.com/)

This CRM is designed for podcasters, bloggers, youtubers and anyone creating an email list. In the past we’ve used other tools, but we found that Active Campaign is a more robust and simplified solution that helps do some of the thinking for you.?

We create email automations, track customer follow up and look at all analytics of open rates, conversions and split testing of emails.?

More importantly it easily integrates into our ClickFunnels account with one click. This gives us a robust solution for managing students.?

ClickFunnels: (https://www.clickfunnels.com/)

This has so far been one of our best investments. It allows us to create marketing funnels for lead generation. We use it to create various landing pages where we exchange a piece of free content (white paper, report, download, free course) in exchange for an email address.?

This helps you identify qualified leads, qualified buyers, high ticket?

Libsyn (https://libsyn.com/)

This is the place where we host our podcast. The beauty about this application is that it automatically posts our podcasts to hundreds of platforms automatically.?

So we essentially upload once and then it does all the heavy lifting. There are a few main podcasts that we still need to manually register for separately like iheart,? apple, google and spotify but all of this can be done within their platform.??

Google Drive (https://www.google.com/drive/)?

Believe it or not. I have found it to be the easiest way to share videos, graphics and folders across many teams of people.?

Simple links with permissions allow for controlling access to folders with original content created by persons without borders.?

We use it for tracking all of the content that we create for ourselves and customers accounts.?

Allows for cheap storage with unlimited upgrades. It’s a backup and a utility all in one solution.?

I Eric Coffie have used many of these platforms for years and while I am sure there are newer applications that do similar things I have not found a one size fits all solution.?

If you like my list and want to offer feedback on solutions that you use, please comment below and tell me what has worked to help you grow your following and build a community.?

Eric Coffie you are completely digital I never knew. Thanks for the lesson on respecting the craft. This is a great lesson on transitioning you want work for company x respect that craft. You want start business x respect that craft. Respecting the craft requires networking, talking those experts, reading material in that craft. Basically it requires homework. Do your homework before taking any leap
