How I got through covid-19 at home

I hope this article find all of you well! We all know, when we have the Covid they tell you to stay home but no one tell you how, that would leave people to scared. Often, not many people feel comfortable to tell others their story with the virus, In this article I am going to share with you my experience on how I am going through covid-19 at home. Covid is a bad thing, nobody even want to get near it even when their friend and family have it. Catching the virus it’s unfortunate but not a shame, and you should not be panic. Since we cannot stay indoor forever, that said, we need to live with it, instead of trying to run away from it. The funny thing is, no matter how fast or how far we run, it still catch us sometime. This was happened to me, the covid finally caught me and I don’t know where or how I’ve got it. Now I understand the saying: “you can run but you cannot hide”. I have no choice but lived with it for a couple weeks. now?I am sharing how I was living with the virus in this article.

Well, I admitted it’s no fun at all! For couple of weeks long; one week just to get worst and the other to get better. but I did not panic when I found out I was test positive. I never too scared of these type of things anyway, maybe it’s something to do with how I grow up. but anyway, I stayed home and doing the following things for those days:

  • Drinking hot tea, hot coffee, hot soup or hot water to stay hydrated throughout the day (cold drink is not good for you especially for covid – it’s just my opinion don’t ask me why)
  • In each morning, I drank a big class of vitamin C smoothie (including orange, tomato, apple, or whatever I have on hand and blend some vitamin C powder with it – I like it warm)
  • Staying home and getting plenty of rest to help the body fight the virus (not supposed to?go outside anyway)
  • I had a “mild symptoms” according to the CDC; little cough, little runny nose and very low fever. So I didn’t need to take any medication for that – good! which is I?hate to.
  • Every time I have my hot tea, I keep my face into the steaming and have some deep breathing from my nose for a minute. I did that every time when I have hot drink – feel so good!
  • I rubbed some IcyHot on my forehead and the tip of my nose before went to bed, just for a better sleeping –it works for me, ease my congestion nose!
  • I made some Chinese herb tea (lo han gua & bai mu e) that help to smooth my throat and I think the tea is good for the lungs too, the tea help to ease my coughing as well.
  • I did not isolate from my family and they were ok. But I was carefully not to share thing directly hand to hand or no direct tough – worked out good! Luckily I didn’t need to lock myself into a room for two weeks.

Now I feel a lot better if not 100% coming back yet. Thanks for everyone’s concerns. I believe the virus won’t completely disappear for some time or never, so we need to know how to live with it. Despised of the virus will never goes away, but our live will going back to normal no matter what! That’s all I can share with you today how I got through the covid-19 at home.
