How I get paid

In high school I met friends that became brothers with some I played sports and we won a few championships it taught me that effort trumps expertise. We lost quite a few as well and it taught me that failure was a step in the process of success. Around that time I had a brief bought with cancer, it taught me the greatest life lesson that nothing matters outside life and death. Live every day like it is the last. In college I was surrounded my an amazing collection of smart driven individuals that let it all hang loose in a blaze and a haze like they would never again. I learned I was better when I upped my game. After college there were so many jobs and relationships too many to count but I see you out there and I realize This is how I get paid.

In the conversations, the smiles, the recognition, the insights. This is how I get paid.

Today, on Facebook I see friends taking their kids to school then to soccer games and eventually to college. On linked in I see longer titles and exciting careers. This is how I get paid.

It is the magic of Serendipity which I have amassed so many intriguing compatriots. Right place, right time. It is always the right place at the right time when you stand alone in a crowd that you will meet someone that will change your life. This is how I get paid.
