How I Found My CLARITY?

I cried so many times last year. I used to call Dev Gadhvi so often and inevitably I would cry. The tears were not because of setbacks or failures because they were not new to me and I have always been a rebel, so I was never looking for any justification or approval or support for my actions. I used to cry because after all these years of trying different roles, I still was not able to find my purpose in life. 

As a child and a reader, I had heard about the concept of "purpose in life" but I was struggling to find mine. Why was I born, what was my purpose, how could I impact people, how could I help more and more people. Dev, would calmly listen to me and tell me to read his book, one more time. haha. 

I read his book many times, I would go round and round in my society's garden at 1:30 am at night, crying, asking, begging to find my purpose. It did not help. Somehow we think or assume that God answers when we are in self pity mode. On the contrary he answers when we are in a peaceful, calm state of mind. 

I was at many different boats at one time, questioning everyday, what the was I doing there. I did not get any answers. But I did not give up. After bugging Dev, I went on to bug Yathiraj Agarwal and Jogesh Jain. Both suggested me to write down a few things in a particular order to get CLARITY.

I did the same. I got some and then came my Day with Dev, and I presented to him, my scribblings and he jumped. THIS IS IT! Dev cried out with excitement.

I wanted to dance with JOY. We both were so so happy that finally I knew why I was born. And then past Sunday, in my usual call with my father, I asked him, why did he name me CHETNA, its such an uncommon name. He said when you were born, intuitively, that name came to me and today you are doing just that, INSPIRING PEOPLE. Sometimes, the stars are aligned. We just take a few years to find out what is the PURPOSE of our lives.

Now, while reading the book, PERSONAL KANBAN, I saw this diagram once more. During my PMP certification, I had studied this Maslow's Hierarchy thoroughly but as soon as I saw CLARITY running over all the stages of human needs, it struck me. I GOT CLARITY and It's my purpose to HELP OTHERS GET THEIR CLARITY! :)
