Hey there - Hope you're day is going well.
It’s sunny and it's 48 degrees (again) in New York.
Today, I'm going to talk about a failure from yesterday and how I bounced back.
Are you ready? Let's go!
------------------------------
Yesterday was a LinkedIn Live Audio with Jasmin Alic.
The theme was: From Freelancer to Brand: How to Dominate
I raised my hand and got selected to join Jasmin on stage.
Guess what happened??
I got disconnected from thousands of people.
Here's where everything changed:
I got back online and got selected again.
The odds were low. And still got selected a second time.
Here's how I bounced back from failure (and you can too):
Lesson #1: Keep the long-term goal in mind.
You may have failed at something before.
The goal is to grow.
Raised my hand and the goal was to speak with Jasmin.
It worked.
Lesson #2: Expect failure. Plan to treat rejection as a normal step in the process.

Have you ever failed before?
A mindset to bounce back is this: "This is only a test."
Treat failure as an experiment.
Expect it. Plan for it. Bounce back.
Lesson #3: Make your moment.
Your moment is what you make of it.
While I was disconnected, Jasmin shared how to pronounce his name.
If I didn't get disconnected, I would have pronounced his name wrong.
When I came back, I pronounced his name the right way.
Shared tips on using the LinkedIn App for a reason:
To add value.
It's hard to be chosen on a LinkedIn Live chat.
To get selected and then get disconnected is harder.
To bounce back and add value while turning it around makes it memorable.
Make your move to make your moment.
You never know what can happen when you put yourself out there.
To recap:
1. Keep the long-term goal in mind.
2. Expect failure and plan to treat rejection as a normal step in the process.
3. Make your moment.
Thank you for reading!
