How I ended up on LinkedIn?

Initially, I literally had no idea about a mystery named LinkedIn. It was something 'absolutely none of my business'. I had only heard about LinkedIn as a 'social-networking' site like facebook (I only used Facebook then) and never really thought of making an account.

Fortunately, the best ever thing happened to me in college is getting into the Ecell of the University. It was newly established by the earnest and incumbent efforts of our seniors! On the first day of the meeting, one of my seniors asked everyone to make a LinkedIn profile and it was the first thing I did after coming back to my room.

On 30th January 2018, I made my LinkedIn debut and entered a world that had been away from my reach for so long. 'Where were you before?' my brain was taunting myself. But initially I had no idea how to BEHAVE on LinkedIn, I had no plans, nothing. It was more like buying a favorite dress but never really wear it.

Gradually things fell on the line. Summer break arrived and I applied for Campus Ambassador post for Ecell, IIT Bombay. They had a task for everyone- to have a minimum of 1000 something connects by a certain date. I was determined this time, I sent connection requests to relevant people and tried to establish a connection with them. More or less, that task helped me in exploring the people and obviously the world.

In the beginning, I was more of an absorber or you can say, observer. It felt nice and motivated to read and like the posts of leading business enthusiasts, influencers and fellow seniors. To this date, I find it THE BEST PLATFORM for those who want to utilize their time in doing something productive.

Once you find the right match for you, (In my case, WRITING) things will automatically fall on their desired places. The path will seem less directionless, more meaningful and worth walking (hustling or even running).

PS I will never stop believing in small things. These are the things that completely change your life, mindset, and approach. Embrace these small changes and the steps that you take gradually.

life seems more meaningful this way!
