How I do social media as a lazy business owner

Lately I am not digging social media.

I have found myself not posting things...

  • My medical mission in the Philippines
  • The conference that I went to where I wore a sequined dress and danced the night away.
  • The long bike ride that I did with Maureen.

Social media…well it’s addictive and thrilling…but it also drains me.

Whenever I post, I try to fool myself into thinking that I don’t care what other people think…but I do.

And when I think about other people (and what they think of me) it means that I am not in the moment and instead merely waiting to see who gives it a thumbs up.

I am not saying it is wrong to post your morning coffee by the beach.

But lately I am not called to do so.

And you know what…I have spoken to many business owners who feel the same.

But…

…just because you don’t feel like doing social media, does not mean that it shouldn't be done in your business.

Our marketing Virtual Assistants have me ALL over social media ALL of the time.

So much so, that when I do go to that conference in the sequined dress I have people (who I don’t recognise) approach me on the dance floor telling me how inspirational my content is.

And more importantly people are being attracted through social media to work with us as clients.

So, if you are a bit like me…and not really into social media at the moment…or even down right hate it.

Do yourself a favor and get support from a Marketing Virtual Assistant.

That way, you can develop your content in batches when you feel like it (I am writing this after a nap) and then your team will distribute it and show it to the world.
