From a digital marketer with a laptop and a vision—to running a multi-million dollar tech company. Here's the unfiltered story, the challenges I faced, and the hard-won lessons that can help any founder scale smarter and faster.
?? The Beginning: From Digital Services to Building a Scalable Company
I didn’t start with venture capital, a fancy degree, or a huge network. I started with skills—specifically in digital marketing—and a relentless drive to solve problems for businesses.
I offered services like lead generation, paid media, and funnel building. I kept refining my craft, learning what worked, and more importantly, what didn’t.
The turning point? I realised I could build products and systems, not just offer services. That mindset shift—from freelancer to founder—changed everything.
?? From Client Work to Scalable Offers
Early on, I did everything manually. I’d pitch, deliver, follow up, optimize. But I learned quickly:
? Custom work doesn’t scale.
? Systems, processes, and teams do.
I started productising services into repeatable offers—with clear deliverables, timelines, and outcomes. This allowed me to train others, delegate, and focus on growth.
For example, instead of “marketing help,” I offered:
This clear packaging brought clarity to clients—and efficiency to my operations.
?? Product Development: Listening to the Market
As I built traction, I noticed recurring client needs—especially around automation, analytics, and lead capture. That’s when we started developing our tech solutions.
The MVP (minimum viable product) was rough. But we validated it with real users. That’s key:
One of our first tools now powers over 30% of our recurring revenue. And we built it by asking clients:
“If we could automate just one thing for you, what would it be?”
That simple question unlocked massive opportunities.
?? Scaling to $5M: Revenue Drivers That Worked
Here are the strategies that took us past the $5M revenue mark:
1. Inbound Lead Engine

2. High-Ticket Offers
3. Partnerships & Referrals
4. Hiring the Right People
?? Hard Lessons Along the Way
Not everything was smooth. I’ve made mistakes that cost time and money. Here are a few worth sharing:
? Waiting Too Long to Delegate
I thought no one could do things as well as I could. I was wrong. Letting go earlier would have accelerated growth.
? Chasing the Wrong Clients
Some clients drained our time and team morale. I learned to qualify hard and say no fast.
? Building Before Validating
We once built a tool no one used because we skipped user research. Now, we co-create everything with our audience.
