Being perceived as an expert is crucial in acquiring new clients. The question then becomes, "How can I establish myself as an expert?" The answer is simple, but, like anything else, it's not easy.

One of the quickest ways to be viewed as an expert is to write a book. It's not as difficult as you may think due to AI. A book can be written in various ways. For example, a friend of mine published a book of quotes by simply copying and pasting. Almost none of the content in the book was original. You could also collaborate with other authors so that you only need to write one chapter. I have done this several times. In one of the books, I even paid an additional fee to have my name featured on the cover. The way I wrote my first book was by selecting a subject and breaking it down into bullet points, with each bullet point serving as a chapter. Your book doesn't have to be lengthy either. One of the most famous books ever written, "As a Man Thinketh" by James Allen, is only 68 pages.

You can start by writing short articles or blog posts on your topic. Once you have enough of them, you can compile them into a book. Additionally, you can use AI to generate articles and blog posts.

Be active on social media, including regularly posting. Even if you're an author, it's not sufficient. If someone purchases your book and becomes interested in you, the first thing they'll do is check you out on platforms like LinkedIn. Therefore, having a strong LinkedIn profile is essential if you want to be seen as an expert.

Take advantage of public speaking opportunities whenever possible, such as podcasts, churches, and chambers of commerce. A strategy that has helped me gain traction is doing Facebook Lives to promote events, streaming them live on multiple platforms, and then uploading the video to my YouTube channel.

Create a YouTube channel. After Google, YouTube is the most popular search tool. People are more likely to watch a 5-minute video than read an article. If you want to be perceived as an expert, having a YouTube channel is important.

In conclusion, becoming an expert is achievable for almost anyone. Of course, you must have knowledge of your subject matter and be willing to put in hard work and consistency. It may take time to see results, but with dedication and positivity, you will eventually build a strong client base and potentially need to hire someone to help you scale your business.
