HOW HURRICANES COST KISSES A MILLION AND WILL MAKE A BILLION

What do little toys, Vivian Greene, and KISSES have to do with two deadly hurricanes? CROWDFUNDING! And a billion dollar UNICORN start up.

I believe creatives can create the world we envision, which is what my trademarks Invest in Love? and "All that is real is seen with the heart are all about.?

And the storms? Category 5 Hurricane Andrew cost me 20 years of work as you can see here:

But as Hurricane Ian thundered its way toward South Florida I worked tirelessly running back and forth to FED EX to make flash drives and copies of my books, designs, and yet to be published stories, movie and TV scripts, product designs, proposals, and the search through my home, now looking like a messy warehouse thanks to closure of the offices for pandemic safety.

On top of it all, I had been immobilized from an accident. Both of my web masters had died. And my favorite artist - our one and only real digital expert survived covid, but is suffering from migraine headaches and still unable to work.

If ever my 1979 quote that went viral in 2008 was put to the test, as Michael Jackson would say "THIS IS IT!"

And what an incredible blessing it is turning out to be. Because I had to be home, I found original art, and Kisses Collector Editions as old as 1972, in perfect condition.

I could finally read my incredible collection of books, and watch movies, not to mention following the crowdfunding campaigns and watch so much new talent and charity emerge.

I kept my crowdfunding perks at home. My donations were personal and the business was still focused on manufacturing greeting cards and licensing. I even won a crowdfunding award and turned into a Giraffe. See what's next in my forthcoming post....and possibly. . . the news!

As painful as rehabilitation from the accident, not being able to do my 40 weeks of travel a year for events, speaking engagements, trade shows and appearances the world over, my creativity was and is the best healer possible. To be continued --
