I’ve been reading and writing about this topic for some time now and there are a lot of studies being done on how we can modify growing and storage conditions to influence fruit/plant flavour profiles. Use of coloured shade nets in the field or coloured LEDs post harvest to test the effect of light intensity and various wavelengths on flavour profile, restricting water affecting sugar or acid profiles, or using pruning techniques as mentioned. This is almost always with fruits such as grape or apple though, I’ve never heard talk of, or considered hop terroir before. Nice!
