Aviation Company CEO’s/Chief Pilots/Leaders: If you’re an aviation company and have recently hired pilots with low flight time or aviation experience I, along with my cohorts at https://lnkd.in/gREnxnCV are teaching critical career advice and previously unavailable emotional intelligence (EQ) "soft skills" training to the newly minted generation of aviators.
What we have also discovered is that this kind of "soft skills', EQ training has been lacking for experienced flight crews throughout aviation history. Because of this we’ve had all levels of experienced aviators attend our training and the results have literally created new, safer CRM communication and more fulfilling careers.
One of the senior pilots who took the course commented: “Great course, relevant to anyone wanting to increase their personal and professional leadership skills. This work should be mandatory at the first grade level in schools!”
Specifically relevant to new hire pilots, due to our ongoing research, the analytical study of accident reports and utilizing our years of aviation flight experience we feel that the current legions of recently hired aviators very well could lack the aforementioned vital "soft skills" and safety oriented, right seat, "observable" experience due to the recent frenetic pace of private companies and airlines hiring minimally qualified aviators.
We fear that the necessity of the industry to rapidly upgrade relatively new F/O’s to Captain has the potential to compromise safety due to the lack of hours and experience that only comes from observing, serving and experiencing “hours in the airborne trenches!”
