Called 0800 917 9170
Was told this number was incorrect and to call 0330 91239123
Was referred to ‘Chat’ but held on for operator for assistance as above.
Advised that 0330 91239123 was the wrong number – now replaced by 0800 9123 9123
Call answered: put on hold whilst query investigated
They asked for details of recent payment into account.
They advised that transfers were not accepted for this purpose. I advised only transfers are made to the account.
They asked for other name on the account – Name Given
They advised I was calling from a different number
I advised that the office had some 40 numbers
They referred it back to whomever
They told me I would have to go into a bank
I advised that this was not practical (it would take three hours)
They advised they would see what other options were available
They cut me off.
Time wasted so far 40 minutes plus earlier calls.
So much wrong on so many fronts. Time for a complaint?
