How Health-tech Revolutionized Customer Experience with Game-Changing Innovations
For technocrats, crises like Covid-19 provide a fertile ground for solving longstanding problems. And that’s what exactly happened across the health-tech market over the past two and half years.
Customer experience dramatically improved across the healthcare industry.
Among other things, the pandemic created a mine full of innovation opportunities. And health-tech led the innovation wave with unprecedented examples.
In the healthcare sector alone, dozens of innovations emerged during the first year of the pandemic. And health-tech in India hasty no means behind in transformational race. Customer experiences in India's healthcare market are reaching higher standards every day.
Technical competency in healthcare made its mark when healthcare facilities became digital-enabled at a dizzying pace. Tech solutions helped address non-availability of beds, oxygen shortage, and other havoc the pandemic wrought.
Fortunately, tech in healthcare promptly empowered the medical community. Health tech startups are adopting new technical innovations to provide tangible solutions. Moreover, health tech systems are solving people's health issues. Furthermore, improving their quality of life.
Majorly, health tech provides end-to-end assistance in:
In terms of numbers, 70% of healthcare organizations invested in the mobile app in 2018. And now, it is estimated to reach $ 1.5 trillion. Not only this, the future of health tech in India is expected to reach $372 billion at the end of 2022.
One of the reasons for the above-expected exponential growth is the adoption of innovative technologies. And the availability of tech-oriented and transformative healthcare app development partners to change the facet of this sector forever.
Unprecedented transforms in healthcare
?There are many ways technology is disrupting and impacting the healthcare sector. Several Indian healthcare enterprises are embracing Telemedicine, IoT devices, virtual reality, AI, and wearable devices. And offering a wide spectrum of healthcare services to customers.
1.??On-Demand Healthcare/Telemedicine
Telemedicine or on-demand healthcare technology via websites & mobile apps has bridged the gap between medical specialists and patients. It allows patients to find and connect with specialists across many demographics. This new healthcare technology provides general to critical care facilities, and emergency assistance, ultimately saving lives.
There has been a large-scale adoption of Telemedicine technology across distinctive healthcare centers in India. At least 81% of doctors in Northern India have adopted this technology. Whereas Southern India has crossed the mark of 50% and 35% each in Western and Eastern regions.

2. Electronic Medical Records
The medical sector is known to accumulate a massive chunk of patient data. Despite still relying on worn-out papers and countless files, Big Data technology has disrupted the process. This technology allows structural accumulation of all the healthcare data in a short time and provides Cloud access to stakeholders. It makes a patient's diagnosis, lab test, previous medical record, and current health condition details easily accessible. Thereby, speeding up the medical treatment process along with enriching patients' lives.
Creating Electronic Health Records (EHR) is another interesting virtue of Big Data in healthcare. It provides a digital summary of reaching patients, special access to medical experts, and better insights to diagnose further. Simply put, EHR helps create patients' medical records in less time and makes the process for healthcare workers easier.
3. Wearable Medical Devices
Smart wearable devices have infused a transformative impact on healthcare. Mainly the way people monitor their health vitals, daily activity, and progress. Wearable watches and trackers are a great way to store users' health records, medical histories, and other specific parameters.
Since most of us are fascinated by wearing such devices, they help us know any abnormalities in our health. For instance, if a user suffers from any diabetic condition, the gadget will monitor the blood sugar level to raise the alert. Similarly, wearable medical devices help measure oxygen, heartbeat, and other vitals to detect any health issue.
With the increasing proliferation of medical wearable devices, we are already experiencing health tech virtues in everyday life. It has become a part of our lifestyle and a necessity to stay on health track and keep monitoring updates.
4. AI-powered Healthcare
When it comes to health tech, Artificial Intelligence is the major driving factor compared to other technical virtues. AI in healthcare assists medical experts in providing better patient care, streamlining administrative processes, and improving existing solutions.
Undoubtedly, AI is reshaping the healthcare system through Machine Learning (ML), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Deep Learning (DL). This technology can analyze a large amount of structured and unstructured medical data of medical records, clinical images, and other forms. In a way, AI helps the sector form patterns from the data knowing better patient insights in improving decision making.
To be precise, Artificial Intelligence in healthcare helps distinctive stakeholders in the following ways.
Looking at the large picture
Even though the healthcare sector lately adopted technical advancements. After pandemic promoted the sector to think and act differently. The tremendous transformation of the medical industry is now showcasing improved capabilities and accessible solutions. Consumers across the economic spectrum have started to adopt and trusting health-tech to improve the quality of life.
It is highly anticipated that health tech in India will grow exponentially in the next few years. With the help of the rise in medical innovation. And end-to-end support of healthcare website and app development partners is available extensively.

2 年Healthtech is a boom and of course is a fertile ground for solving long-standing problems.?In health sector, the pharma industries, Health Professionals, Tech Professionals, Government Agencies, Insurance Sectors (both Government-run and private-run) are all working in silos, thinking that if one is allowed to collaborate, their profit margin will dwindle, and all the unethical practices what they were doing will get unearthed.?Unless and until we bring them all under one Regulatory Framework with clear-cut lines drawn on every services, this technology innovation will only help in siphoning off the hard earned resources of the patients.?Post-covid19, the Government has to mandate periodic health check-up for school children under 16 years. Screening should cover different tests like BP, routine urine analysis, haemoglobin, otoscopy, routine dental examination and body composition analysis to figure out conditions, like, anaemia, malnutrition, ear infections and urinary tract infections, etc.?If you were to bring a healthy society, with the available technology, all the stakeholders to be brought under one Regulatory Framework to serve this humongous population without discrimination.??
