Hi, I'm Laura Lavgo ??? ; a Project Manager, Optimizer, Generalist and Curator, sharing my best resources and favorite tools to help other people reach they goals in the most efficient way.
But this last title actually started without any professional intention.
I just love having a lot of resources and gathering them so I can reference or watch them later.
But before this trick, I used to have everything everywhere; between the notes app, to sending myself a link on a whatsapp group with myself, setting bookmarks, or simply the tab open on the browser, everything was mixed, disorganized and hard to find later. Lost.
If this is you, lemme tell you: you are not alone, it's just too much valuable content out there, you just need a few tips and boom, magic ?
Today I share with you my favorite tip, that mixes my 2 favorite passions:
All this in the single mix of: one tool, one click, and everything is added in the same place.
If you find this insightful, maybe the content I share on my Linkedin and newsletter can be ideal for you.
note: for this, you will need a notion account created already, (no problem, you can create it in minutes and for free HERE)
?? Set up steps:
1. Install Notion Web Clipper (free and safe)
2. In your browser, click in "Extensions" and select "Notion Web Clipper" to open it.
3. Log into your Notion account. If you don't have one, I recommend you creating it here before this step.
?? One click away:
Once you're logged in, these are the steps that you will have to follow every time you have an amazing resource and want to have it organized:
4. Go to the website you would like to save and click on the Extensions button again (next to the search bar)
5. Click on Notion Web Clipper
6. It will pop up this little window:
7. Click on Save Page so this window appears
You're all set! Those clicks are already gathering your info! ??
?? Now, where do you see it?
8. Click Open in Notion in this little window
9. This view will appear. This is your saved info with the deatils you gave before: Title and URL.
9. This view will appear. This is your saved info with the details you gave before: Title and URL.
10. To have the full view of your database, click on ??My Links on top of the page (the database that was automatically created)
You will have this view:
And that one looks pretty empty since it's your first one, but it will grow!
?? And that's it! Just keep following these steps, and you will have the magic of a los of links, gathered in your database, only one click away!
BONUS
You can add other columns and details like "Tags", "Field", "To be reviewed", etc, making the perspective better and the links easy to detect later.
Everything is on your imagination and personalization.
This is one of mines:
