How Has Your Vision Been?

Over the last couple weeks I’ve emphasized the importance of combing through each of your processes to evaluate how things are going with regards to changes you’re making within your culture.
Things like reviewing each and every system and plan and reworking them to fit the times we’re in now to make sure that you and your team are communicating efficiently. This process of combing through your culture plan is one that everyone needs to be doing frequently in order to have your finger on the pulse of your team.
But what if things aren’t going as great as you think they are?
You might have one view of the culture that exists within your business while the rest of your team has an entirely different perspective.
While you may think communication is going great, and everyone is fired up to hit their goals even though they’re working from home, there could be things that need serious work within your team.
Here’s an example for you, and if you wear glasses or contacts this one will probably sound familiar.
If your glasses or contact prescription is working for you, and you’re seeing good, and you have no complaints or problems with your vision you probably think your prescription is good.
You’re not having problems, you’re seeing things pretty clear, no issue.
But then you go for an eye exam and you’re told that your vision has changed ever so slightly and things could be even better.
You didn’t know it, but there was opportunity for improvement there, you just needed an outside perspective.
Treat the process of reviewing your team’s systems and plans the exact same way. Bring in team members to help you assess where things are and where they can be improved.
Sometimes it takes another set of eyes.
