How To Handle a Threatening cook,

In the past while I am chopping food in an industrial kitchen, some men felt it was really funny to sneak up behind the woman and scream in our ears to scare us. Myself in the past locked my knives up and left the situation taking it to security. Unfortunately, the companies do nothing about. This is a form of Bullying and Intimidation tactics in our workplaces. The scary thing is, it can escalate the person on the receiving end to react by stabbing the other person. This kind of horseplay is not welcome in my work areas. To me it is threatening and horrible to be on the receiving end of it. I went through that kind of treatment for 6 months on a daily basis. My authority figure, thought it was funny that I was being threatened. Keep in mind/ I never met any of these people in my life before. Why do companies allow this kind of behavior in any workplaces baffles me to this day. What if it was a gun in my hand rather than a knife? What if I returned the behavior? Would I go to jail/ even though it is a man doing to a woman? Please use these statements for educational purposes, and hopefully we can stop the Bullying and Harassment in our workplaces.
