How to Grow Your Business Network on LinkedIn. Part 2.

Posting on LinkedIn to grow your business network is different than when you post on other platforms. Here are a few things to keep in mind:

Post your own content. Creating your own online content helps establish your credibility as an expert in your industry. Educational videos and infographics are excellent posts to be shared on LinkedIn.

Post content that would be valuable to your network from any blog or website. This can be from any online website or blog. Your network will appreciate you sharing videos and articles from others.

Note: Include a description and not just links to your website. When you keep the post conversational, your network will appreciate it more than a sales pitch.

Linkedin Groups are Another Way to Build Your Network. You can join several groups from “Groups You May Like”. Once approved, you want to educate the other group members. Keep in mind to add your thoughts to pertinent discussions on a daily basis to showcase your expertise and build relationships. Do not spam in the group or it's members.

The more the group members see you post and get to know you, the more you will come to mind when there is a potential opportunity to do business with you.

Select a few groups to join and participate consistently. This will allow you to become known with the members. To learn which groups may be best for you, ask your other friends what groups they participate in. You will quickly learn what groups you resonate with more. Devote your time with them.

Networking is not a "get rich quick" scheme. Building relationships takes time, but your efforts will pay off in huge ways--both personally and professionally.
