Today, I read a post by Steve MacDonald on a superoffice.com blog with some startling research statistics that should make every business owner sit up and take notice. It’s the simplest thing that you can do to increase your lead generation and get a full time, 24 hour a day customer service rep thrown in for free!
“A new breed of B2B buyer is forcing companies to change how they communicate with them. The most challenging of all is that these buyers want to communicate with you in real-time. But, how?”
“One of the most effective ways to “chat” with prospects and customers is to meet them in a channel they most prefer. Today, that is digitally and on your website via live chat.”
Customers Prefer Live Chat Over Any Other Contact Channel
Today, more than 30% of customers expect live chat on your website and for customers that visit your website on a mobile device, this number is as high as 62%.
If a potential client wants to reach out to you while he or she is on your website, they would prefer to engage with a person manning your website via live chat. However, research shows that only 9% of companies use live chat on their website!
Generate New Clients Within 24 Hours
A recent Forrester study revealed that live chat produces a 48% increase in revenue per chat hour and a 40% increase in conversion rate from existing website traffic. It’s clear that live chat is providing companies with staggering results.
We have been offering 24-hour chat service for over two decades and we can have it installed within a day. Using our NetReps saves you time and labor costs and we are only there to facilitate lead generation and customer service. Within 5 minutes of the chat being completed, you are emailed a transcript of the engagement. That way you will know whether this person should be contacted by your sales team or customer service and you also have extensive information before you engage them again.
Wrap-Up
Live chat is now a “must-have” communication tool for any business. As adoption rates for the companies that use chat continue to grow, it’s only a matter of time before all your competitors are using it. By harnessing the power of live chat, you could be:
Increasing sales and revenue
Providing faster customer support
Delivering a better customer experience
If you’re not using live chat already, then now is a good time to start!

5 年Mike, I agree 100 percent ! The only hurdle there is to make sure your chat staff is capable of a conversation. I have been on some chats where I was telling them what they should have been telling me.? Always test and re test your staff. One might be surprised the wrong info going out in the field. Always good to hear and see you Mike!??
