By involving your employees in your branding efforts and creating a positive work culture, you can tap into the power of employee advocacy to help grow your brand. In this weekly article, I will discuss six ways your business can grow its brand through your employees.

Encourage employee engagement:

Engaged employees are more likely to be advocates for your brand and to share positive experiences with others. Encourage employee engagement by providing opportunities for growth and development, fostering a positive work culture, and seeking employee feedback. By doing so, you can create a positive, supportive environment that encourages employees to represent your brand in a positive way.

At 3 Colours Rule:

For example, at 3 Colours Rule, we have a Friday learning session where everyone shares learnings and initiatives they implemented this week which help them perform better.

Foster a strong company culture:

A strong company culture can help your employees feel connected to your brand and motivated to represent it in a positive way. Define your company values and communicate them to your employees, and encourage them to live by those values in their work. By doing so, you can create a cohesive and consistent brand identity that is reflected in the work of your employees.

At 3 Colours Rule:

As a leader, it's important for me to communicate with my team regularly and vocally what we stand for, our vision and mission statement but most importantly how important their role is so they can feel like an avenger.

Provide brand training:

Provide brand training to your employees so they understand the values and messaging of your brand and how to represent it effectively. This can include training on your brand's mission, vision, and values, as well as training on how to effectively communicate your brand to customers and the public. By educating your employees about your brand, you can ensure that they are able to represent it effectively and consistently.

At 3 Colours Rule:

I believe happiness resides in learning and living new experiences, so I implemented learning credit that each employee accumulates each month that they can then use for training of their choice which will help further develop their skills within their role.

Encourage employee social media use:

Encourage your employees to share content and engage with your brand on social media. This can help amplify your brand's message and reach a wider audience. By involving your employees in your social media efforts, you can create a sense of community and connection around your brand.

At 3 Colours Rule:

This is something we are working on, so watch this space.

Recognise and reward employees:

Recognise and reward employees who represent your brand well and go above and beyond in their work. This can help motivate other employees to also strive to represent your brand in a positive way. By recognizing and rewarding your employees, you can create a culture of excellence that helps your brand stand out.

At 3 Colours Rule:

I believe it's everyone's job to bring clients to the business and therefore everyone is incentivised and rewarded for doing so.

In summary, there are several ways your business can grow its brand through your employees. By encouraging employee engagement, fostering a strong company culture, providing brand training, encouraging employee social media use, and recognising and rewarding employees, you can tap into the power of employee advocacy to help grow your brand.
