If you look up Google for an answer, you will be overwhelmed. Many of them are from people who are not known on LinkedIn, don’t use LinkedIn properly or companies giving generic advice.
?
Here I am at LinkedIn HQ yesterday, an official LinkedIn Top Voice, who runs an actual business helping people succeed on LinkedIn.
?
I’m also in full Movember fundraising moustache mode. 66% to target, and I will talk about that more next week.
?
I’m not going to share 20 things to do to grow your brand on LinkedIn. Most people can’t implement more than 3-5 things at once, so here’s my Top 3.
?
1.???? Play The Long Game
?
Most of my incoming enquiries this year are from people who have followed me for years. A lot of people are investing in cheap software and automation right now and getting ZERO results.
I understand this temptation. Some of you have financial gaps that you need to fill before year end. When you play the long game, you generate more success long term. You let people know who you are and what you stand for. That builds trust long term, and that is key to building your brand.
?
2.???? Being Human Works
?
Chat CPT and Claude have their benefits when it comes to research, I haven’t seen them work in writing effective emails yet. They don’t sound human. There’s a lack of emotion. You need to know people's touchpoints when you do business. Here’s some reasons why people buy
?
To make money
To save money
To streamline operations
To reduce stress
To beat the competition
To impress others
To be part of something bigger than themselves
To look good and feel good
?
3.???? Develop The Right Mindset
?
With very few exceptions, most people who succeed on LinkedIn have to deal with rejection, myself included. It’s not about the rejection, it’s how you deal with it in your head and how you react that matters
?
That’s why the first 2 days of my sales challenge are about mindset and overcoming imposter syndrome, something many of you struggle with.
?
?My 10-day sales challenge starts on Monday. It will include: how to overcome imposter syndrome, a stronger mindset, writing effective emails, increasing sales and selling on LinkedIn https://mailchi.mp/44167acdb007/10-day-challenge

1 周Really good point about rejection and how you deal with it Niraj Kapur - if you let each rejection get you down, it'll be a miserable experience.
