Like, was it actually serious about this? It seems like Meta can’t learn from its mistakes.
Remember when Meta launched AI characters on Instagram last year and people hated it so much that Meta decided to delete the accounts? Well, it seems like it hasn’t deleted all of them.
And guess what? The reviews are in! No one likes them.?
Too bad for all of us though, as Meta recently told the Financial Times it “expect[s] these AIs to actually, over time, exist on our platforms, kind of in the same way that accounts do.”
While it seems like an absolutely wild thing to do, Meta has already started the process, like creators in the US being able to create chatbots of themselves.
It seems that even though people clearly don’t want this, AI chatbots will soon be all over our future social media platforms.
