How Great Leaders Think & Solve Problems

How Great Leaders Think & Solve Problems

Leadership has always been a passion of mine, and over the next few years, I’m committed to delving deep into this topic—until you’re blue in the face.

I firmly believe that every challenge we encounter can be traced back to leadership, whether it’s self-leadership or guiding others, internal or external leadership.

It’s a multifaceted concept, encompassing skills, competencies, behaviors, and characteristics that define a competent, successful, and conscious leader.

I dive deeper into this topic in my new YouTube video, check it out!

Embrace Imperfection

I don’t claim to be perfect—I get short with people, I get triggered, I get tired.

I’m human, just like you.

What I offer is a blend of my experiences, data, and a series of experiments and tests.

My goal is to leverage the wisdom I've gained from incredible mentors and my own journey so you can avoid the mistakes I’ve made and build and scale your dreams effectively.

Recognizing Lack of Purpose

I have a friend who made $180 million overnight but found himself in despair because he didn’t know his purpose.

This isn’t a problem exclusive to the wealthy; it’s a universal challenge.

Many people are directed by others—parents, societal norms, the educational system—to follow paths that don’t resonate with their true selves.

This misalignment leads to a life where value is measured by income rather than purpose.

I’ll list some virtues, some of which might seem negative, and I want you to reflect on what they indicate in a person.

These characteristics—lack of motivation, apathy, indecisiveness, isolation, negativity, existential questioning, emotional fluctuations, lack of satisfaction, avoidance of future planning, dependency on external validation, and resistance to change—are signs of a person without a clear purpose.

Discovering Your Purpose

Our mission at my company AlterCall is to help you uncover and own your purpose. Here’s how:

  1. Discover: Dive deep into self-reflection to identify your passions, strengths, values, and beliefs. Look for patterns in your life and seek feedback from others. Experiment and explore different paths to find what truly fulfills you.
  2. Claim: Once you discover your purpose, it takes courage to declare it. This means stepping out of your comfort zone, overcoming fear, and facing criticism. It’s about being brave enough to align your actions with your true calling.
  3. Live: Living your purpose is the most challenging part. It requires discipline, resilience, and the ability to make decisions that align with your values. It means saying no to distractions and staying committed to what truly matters.
  4. Own: When you fully own your purpose, you radiate confidence and authenticity. You become a magnet for positive energy and inspiration, grounded in who you are and what you stand for.

The Role of Mentorship in Scaling Purpose

Imagine a world where everyone knew and lived their purpose.

Parents teaching their children to discover their own paths, schools incorporating purpose-driven education, and society valuing individuals beyond their economic contributions.

This is the vision we’re working towards at AlterCall.

Mentorship plays a crucial role in this mission. This includes founders, CEO's and those in leadership positions.

Great mentors help individuals see themselves clearly, provide the feedback needed to discover their purpose, and support them in claiming and living it.

This creates a beautiful value exchange of service, helping others while fulfilling the mentor’s purpose.

Unfortunately, society often undervalues the wisdom holders—the elders and mentors—leading many to walk around without a sense of purpose.

At AlterCall, our mission is clear: to help you own your purpose so you can lead with passion, authenticity, and resilience.

When you live your purpose, you inspire others to do the same, creating a ripple effect of positive change.

Let me know if you agree, and share this with a purpose-driven leader in your network!

To dive deeper into this journey and gain actionable insights, I invite you to watch my latest YouTube training video. In it, I expand on these concepts and provide practical steps to help you discover, claim, live, and own your purpose.

Great perspective of leadership. We all need to find our purpose and a mentor or coach can help us along the way. Unfortunately not everyone sees the value in investing in themselves with a coach or mentor. Thanks for your insight
