’How to glue engineered flooring?'
Today’s Topic:?
’How to glue engineered flooring?’?
Of course, we are all familiar with roller coating PVAc glue on plywood, placing the top layer and pressing onto the stack for 30 minutes at high pressure.?
That technique works fine but is very labor-intensive and time consuming.
We came up with a way to tackle that and severely cut down the time to press. New from our Test Center we would like to introduce a technique to make engineered flooring using PUR Hotmelt glue, this way you can avoid the stack press and work continuously, applying the glue and stack directly onto the pallet. We believe this new technique is essential to those who need to reduce their production time, resulting in a higher output rate.
Curious? Check out the video below to get an impression of how this line works in our Test Center.
Other options that can be tested in our Test Center include:
- Structuring
- Sanding
- Hand scraping edges
- Creating a saw effect
- Applying oil or lacquer by a roller coating or by spraying
- Drying a coating by using hot air, Infra-red, Ultraviolet or LED
