How to Give Your Sales Prospects a "Hug"?

How to Give Your Sales Prospects a "Hug"

Sales is sales – and selling is selling – whether in person or online.?

And your best "you" must come across at all times in?sales?– because one wrong move will show you how quickly your reputation could be tarnished.?

Because no matter how much technology we are a part of or use, there is still a human being on the other side. There will always be an emotion connected with the client's action and interpretation of your presence online.?

Anyone in?sales?knows the importance of networking, gathering up sales prospects, and then filtering through them to find the ones who are the "serious" buyers. But, simultaneously, you want to keep as many of them engaged as possible. It can be a daunting task.?

However, in sales, It's all about the?attitude?you have going into it.??

Nurturing the client should be a given in your sales process. …..We are hearing the word "nurturing" over and over and over.?

However, the bottom line is that people are smarter and more informed today than ever before….and we salespeople can never underestimate the level and power of their knowledge while keeping in mind their emotional connection to a situation.?

They will be able to tell instantly if you are genuine or not and if you know your stuff.?

In sales, you must always be on top of your game and tuned in to your customer's needs.

Having said that, tiny little "hugs" can be given to prospects to keep them in your proverbial sales funnel.?

You need to give them the right content at the right time. And, just because you are "hunting" doesn't mean you shouldn't enjoy the ride. Adjust your mindset to think of it as relationship building –??

What would you need to do to show people who you are, your level of experience, and that you are honest and trustworthy??

What kind of marketing would most likely attract all the potential buyers rather than those who are only hot to buy right now?

And in sales, you have to sell without looking like you are selling.?

It has to be information that provides a real benefit, and you must speak to your audience in a way that is not too technical or above their heads. Speak to them in your "real" voice," making sure that your true core personality, values, and knowledge come forth. You should take your online presence and persona seriously – never just mindlessly throwing information on your site. If you do it correctly, the possibilities are endless.

Ask yourself these questions:

What kind of marketing will not only get them there but also keep them around and engaged until they're ready to buy from you?

The answer here is that It has to be marketing produced on a regular schedule – repeated enough times that you build trust and rapport.??

One of the best ways of doing this is through blogging and opening up conversations between yourself and your prospects.

Does it engage you or not??

Put yourself in their shoes when looking at the information you are putting out there.?

Is the information current and timely???

Think about how little time people have in a day. If they take any time out of their busy schedules to visit your site or read your blogs, you must ensure that it hits the mark.

As with every relationship in our lives, if you ignore them, they will suffer.?

Be genuine…Be sincere…speak intelligently but in a "real" voice.??

It is that "voice" that people will connect to and think of when they hear your name or think about your product or service. There's much power here. Learn it, practice it, and commit to it.?

Sales using social media can take your business to great heights, and always thinking about the person on the other end will help keep you "honed in" on what will work and what will not……
