And as you use Google, you may have seen the AI Overviews appearing before everything else.?

But what does this mean for your website and its visibility?

The good news is—you don’t need to overhaul everything.

First, it's important to understand the difference between traditional SEO and AI SEO.

Traditional SEO is like if you were to give your friend a recipe for vanilla cupcakes, just the cake part.

AI SEO is like if you were to give your friend the cupcake recipe, step-by-step instructions for the frosting, and tips for adding personalized things like sprinkles.

The AI tools anticipate the next question and gives the person searching everything they need right there. Or tries to.?

As of right now, there is some overlap between what websites are cited in the those synthesized answers and websites that rank in Google or Bing.

But that doesn't mean they are using them in that specific manner.?

So what can we do to help increase our chances of showing up in AI type tools??

Keep doing traditional SEO with an added layer of sprinkles in your content.

Ensure that your content is more conversational vs a strict keyword per page tactic.

For each topic you write about, think about all those side tangents that were once considered 'unnecessary'.

You know how when you're talking to someone and you're like, oh how did we get onto this topic? Something like that. But don't go overboard.
