How to get your wardrobe Autumn-ready in a weekend

How to get your wardrobe Autumn-ready in a weekend

I hope you’ve had a fabulous week so far!?

Can you believe we’re in the second week of September already? I'm definitely noticing the days getting shorter and a chill in the air. As Autumn approaches, it’s the perfect time to give our wardrobes a refresh. There’s something so satisfying about making sure we’re prepared for the cooler months ahead, while still keeping things stylish and effortless of course.

This weekend, I’d love for you to take some time to do a little wardrobe refresh. It’s such a wonderful way to clear out the clutter and make room for all those gorgeous Autumnal pieces you’ll be reaching for in the weeks to come. You’ll feel lighter, more organised, and completely ready for the new season. I've set you a challenge below!

Before we dive in,? don't leave before checking the bottom of the page for some exciting upcoming events I’m hosting for you—I’d love for you to join me. (Oh .. and one of them is FREE!)

Top Tips for a Weekend Wardrobe Refresh.

Here are my top tips to get your wardrobe Autumn ready.

  1. Sort Out Your Summer Clothes Start by going through your summer pieces and deciding what should stay and what can be packed away. If you’ve got items that didn’t see the light of day all season, it might be time to donate or sell them. For the items you love and wore often, keep them safe for next summer by packing them away neatly. You’ll appreciate the extra space in your wardrobe.
  2. Organise Your Autumn Essentials Time to bring those cosy jumpers, boots, and jackets to the front! Make sure everything is clean and in good condition—are there any pieces that need a little mending? Organise your wardrobe by category, so your go-to items are easily accessible. It’ll make your mornings much simpler, especially on those chilly, rushed days.
  3. Identify Gaps for the New Season Once your wardrobe is sorted, have a think about what key pieces might be missing. Maybe you need a new mac, or it could be the perfect time to invest in some luxurious knitwear or a classic pair of Autumn boots. Knowing what you’re looking for before you hit the shops or browse online will save you time and help you invest wisely.

Words Of Wisdom

"Fashion is very important. It is life-enhancing and, like everything that gives pleasure, it is worth doing well."

Vivienne Westwood

As we move into a new season, having a wardrobe that feels fresh and inspiring can elevate not just how we look, but how we feel. When we dress well, we feel confident, and that confidence carries into everything we do.

Weekly Challenge

This week, I challenge you to set aside two hours to go through your wardrobe and follow the tips above. After you’ve organised your Autumn essentials, try creating three fabulous outfits using what you already own. Get creative with layering some of your lighter summer pieces with chunkier knits or boots. I’d love to see your favourite look—send me a photo if you fancy sharing!

Remember, style should always feel good! This is your chance to fall back in love with your wardrobe and feel totally ready for the season ahead.
