How to get your clients to listen to you...
James Newell
B2B founder? Hard to explain offering? Go from CONFUSION to CONVERSION with a Clear Sales Message?
With so many messages, posts and noise in the online world, how do you get your clients to read your messages and take notice?
This is something I've been playing with for a while and it nearly always works.
Voice messages.
When was the last time you got a voice message on social media?
Did you listen to it?
I bet you did.
If not, you were VERY tempted....
Voice messages are an enormously tempting information gap.
They imply the person has spent more time and care with their message and that it's so important they want to speak not type.
It's also the Bizarreness Effect at work - everyone sends messages, very few people send voice notes or videos.
Surely there's a reason to change the medium from typing to talking?
The lesson here is that if you want to get your message seen (or heard) you need to think differently and put in a little more effort.
It's hard to ignore a voice message and you also get the added bonus of tonation and humanity in your message - which just doesn't come across in text.
So, if you want to get your clients to listen to you. Speak to them.
