How to Get Ultimate Freedom in Your Life

How to Get Ultimate Freedom in Your Life

People prioritise making money, but they don’t prioritise freedom. People think they want to make money, but what they actually want is the freedom it will bring.

Success means something different to every single person. For me, success is the freedom to do what you want, when you want, and with who you want. Freedom comes from your discipline right now. We usually think of discipline as bad. When you were disciplined as a child, it usually meant you did something wrong.

However, the freedom that you want is inside of the discipline and the structure that you don't currently have in your life. Freedom seems like there'd be no structure but, when you have discipline and structure in your life, it creates freedom later on down the road.

Waking up and having no schedule doesn't mean freedom. Sometimes a life like that stresses people out. You feel like you should be doing more, right? You're searching for what you should do to fill that time, knowing that there's more for you. That is why people who retire end up going back to work within the first 90 days because, for most of them, the inherent feeling in a human is to be productive, to progress in your life. Tony Robbins says progress equals happiness.

When you have structure and you have discipline, there's freedom inside of that structure. By having a structure laid out, you're free from worrying about what needs to be done.

You don’t have to think about anything else because you've made space to allocate time in your schedule for socializing, meetings, coffee dates, etc. Your time becomes more productive, leading to even more freedom when the work is done.

Making good money Monday through Friday, affords you to be able to do whatever you want to on the weekends. And that in itself is freedom.

People overestimate what they can do in a year, but they underestimate what they could do in a decade. They also severely underestimate what locking down for a couple of years can do for their future.

For most people who start a new business venture, within three months they're barely going to make enough money to stay afloat, they might even lose out. But what most people are too impatient to see is that success takes time. If they keep going and have the discipline to force themselves to show up every single day with a plan, structure, and discipline, the chances are that three years down the line their life will be radically different.

If you treat your business like a hobby, you're going to get paid like a hobby. If you treat your business like a business, you're eventually going to get paid like a business.

If you are a business owner or a solo entrepreneur who works from home, force yourself to have a morning routine, take a shower and get dressed as if you're going to work. Walking around your house in your underwear or robe is not preparing you for a productive workday. The structure and discipline of waking up, going through your morning routine, showering, and getting dressed, gives you the freedom later down the road to create the life that you want.

Have working hours and stick to them so others don’t impede on your schedule. Having specific work hours creates structure and if you have the discipline to make sure things get done the way they’re supposed to, in the time you've allocated, you are once again creating more freedom in your life.

If freedom is what you're searching for then note that freedom comes from discipline, which comes from structure. You get to choose. You just have to go out, be committed and grab it.
