Looking to maximize results and squeeze more juice out of your articles?
Hitting publish isn’t enough to get prospects ringing your phone.
Although good ol’ high-quality content is indispensable, it’s just a small part of the equation.
The largest part is promoting it across multiple channels to ensure it appears in front of the right people and actually gets read.
With all the time you spend creating high-quality content, the last thing you want is having it go totally unnoticed.
If you are not actively promoting and distributing your content, I HATE to be the one to say this, but you’ve been missing out BIG. TIME.
How does content distribution work?
To make it short, content distribution consists of sharing and promoting your content across different platforms (like Google search, social networks, ads, and other websites).
This works because your content shows up RIGHT where your audience spends their time online.
Think about it, most people won’t visit your blog on their own accord and on a frequent basis. Sure, some people may do this, but you don’t want to miss out on those that perhaps forgot about your blog and just need a reminder.
Let me get this point across - how often do people visit their email inbox?
Generally speaking, daily, and often multiple times a day.
Definitely more often than your blog. (Let’s be honest.)
Get what I mean? Visibility in these channels lets you reach and engage a larger audience.
Reasons why you should distribute your content:
- Higher ROI from your blog
- Continually engage and nurture your viewership
- Get more results from the time you spend
- Prevent the dreaded “no-results-at-all posts”
Proven ways to promote your blog
Google - Whether through PPC or SEO, having your content found on Google searches is an excellent way to generate relevant traffic and leads.
Social Media - Social platforms greatly increase exposure to your audience because most people spend a lot of time using them. Use multiple social networks to give customers the option to connect with your brand through their preferred platforms.
Guest Posting - Creating guest posts for other websites in your industry is a great way to build backlinks, improve SEO, and drive more traffic to your content.
Link Outreach - Contacting brands in your industry is another excellent way to build backlinks. There are countless ways to achieve this, such as by thanking them and linking to their content.
Repurpose into a Video - For starters, there’s a ridiculous amount of traffic on video platforms like YouTube that you can redirect to your site.
Also, you can embed complimentary videos on blog posts, giving readers the option to choose between text vs. video. (Those who are stuck in traffic will really appreciate it ;) .)
