How to get started in Telemedicine with Free Telehealth Software
One of the top three questions I get asked daily is "How do I get started in Telemedicine". The second question is "What Telehealth software do you recommend?". And the third question is "How do I get reimbursed in Telemedicine?".
Although it may seem like an impossible task with all the state and license regulations, I have put down a comprehensive training program that makes it easy to start your Telehealth business on a budget.
There are a number of steps to building a sustainable Telehealth and Digital Health business. We have broken the process into four basic steps, each of which should be considered in your business planning process.
First, Program Assessment, Planning and Implementation need to be considered. Once you have completed your preliminary plan, the next step is Marketing & Social Media. A thorough and well-thought-out marketing plan will guide you through the business process.
Program Assessment and Planning: Based on this assessment you can plan the type of program as well as define the level of specificity that needs to be implemented. The first four steps are:
? Needs Analysis: Define the health care services your telemedicine or digital health program will deliver. How many clients do you need to make a profit?
? Target Market: Describe who your target (customers) for these services – how will they be delivered?
? Market Analysis: Is there a market for the service you are proposing? Will clients pay for these services? If so, how much should you charge?
? Budget: Do I have a budget for the software? Can I afford to build a website?
Here’s a list of free Telehealth software solutions. FYI- Always obtain a “business agreement” with any service. It protects healthcare providers and patients from HIPAA privacy breach.
