How to Get Screwed: Think 1% is NOT 1/3rd of Your Business

Your Merchant Account is how most people pay you. They use debit cards and credit cards. Really, how much cash do you see?
Here is what a person with less business acumen says when we save them 1%: "Uh, that's not very much."
Here is what million-dollar clients say when we save them 1%: "Wow!"
Now the mistake here is thinking that because they are millionaire businesses, 1% seems like more. That is the devil whispering in your ear. Don't be fooled. The truth is they know the value of a dollar. They know the value, they watch it, and become multi-millionaires. They also know that 1% is generally 1/3rd of their business. Let me explain.
If you are paying 3% and I get you 2%, that looks like a 1% drop. It's actually a 33% drop because it's 1/3rd of the total amount. Do you want a $300 bill your business owes or a $200 bill? Do you want to pay a $3,000 bill or a $2,000 bill? If a box of girl scout cookies should be $4, do you pay $6?!
To drop from 3-2% is 1% IF it's part of 100 (100%). But every millionaire knows that if 3 is the big number and you go to 2, you've just chopped a WHOPPING 33% (or 1/3) off their fees.
Enjoy!
