How to get rid of the Microsoft Word welcome screen

When you launch Microsoft Word, do you get annoyed by the welcome screen, knowing that you want to open a blank document every single time? Did you know that you can get rid of that?

Well here’s how.

1. From the welcome screen go to ‘Options’ and then ‘Ease of Access’ on the left-hand pane.
2. Find the option in the right-hand pane that says ‘show the Start screen when this application starts’ and make sure that the box next to it is unchecked.
3. Now when you exit word and go back in again, it will take you straight to the new document screen.
