How to get a response from a recruiter or an employer immediately?
Stop begging, grab a job and roar like a champion…
Have you suffered from the lay-offs during the pandemic?
Are you drained of e-mailing your resume to thousands of recruiters or employers?
Are you not receiving a response from employers or recruiter?
If your answer is “YES” then you must know now “WHY”
I am a professional recruiter, and I can specifically narrate you today that why recruiters or employers DO NOT respond to your e-mails or messages. Today, this information will protect YOU from random efforts, unnecessary frustration, and wastage of time.
Assume you’ve recently discovered a job posting on LinkedIn; social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram or any job portal like Naukri.com etc. And it seems to be an excellent fit for you. The job is with a company you’d love to work for and YOU IMAGINE that you satisfy each one of the employer’s requirements.
WOW, Bingo !!! You decide to go forward and apply to that job. And start anticipating for a reply from the other side, which never comes.
Do you know why?
I am sure that you don’t, that is why you have come so far with me.
Do not worry, I will tell you today !!! So here are a few tips to get immediate response from the recruiters:
- Instead of applying for the job immediately or forwarding an e-mail, it’s crucial to stay back for a while, and carefully read the job description. This rule will benefit you develop a better strategy for your job application that will get you noticed by the employer or a recruiter.
- You must be extremely clear about the field you choose. You must look for jobs that branch out from your field. For example, if you have experience in digital marketing. And you apply for a job in a bank wherein you are supposed to assist customers with the current or saving accounts, the chances are less that you will get a response from the employer.
- When you try connecting with a recruiter or an employer through Linkedin, Whatsapp, text message, don’t just write “Hello” and wait for the response. Trust me, in 99% cases, you won’t even get a reply to simple “Hello” unless you and the guy on the other side are the only people left on the planet. Or the guy on the other side immediately falls in love with your DP.
- Instead, write “Hello Mr XYZ, I saw that you are interested to hire a car salesman. I have been into the same profile for the last XYZ years. My current organization is XYZ, where I am awarded as the best salesperson for several times in the last XYZ years. My current salary is 12345 per month but I am comfortable with your company standards as far as the salary is concerned. Please, let me know if you think that I am the right fit.” Well, not 100% but there are better chances that you will get a response from the employer.
- The employer or a recruiter will schedule your interview immediately if you have the appropriate experience and they know the following information about you:
- Your Location
- Your age and gender
- Your education
- Your current company
- Your total experience
- Your last drawn salary
- Notice period
- Your designation, role and responsibilities
- Find out the name and email of the employing manager. Posting your job appeal to the hiring manager is more practical than applying through the job posting sites. Because it empowers you to have personal contact with the employer.
- In the subject line, mention the profile you are applying for. For example: "Job Application for the position of Java Developer"
- Modernise your social media profiles. When applying through Linkedin or Facebook, make sure your social media profiles express what you want employers to notice. Your LinkedIn profile should be renewed with your most up-to-date expertise. You must remove anything from Twitter or Facebook you wouldn’t want an employer to see.
- Research the role. Do some research on the company. Check out the employer’s website and find out what exactly they are looking for. Highlight those skills in your resume, that you think are most needed. Draft your CV in a way so you can market yourself to the employer. Do not make any fake entries just to receive a call. Save yourself from unnecessary rejections.
- Reach out to current employees of your prospective employer. Reach out to employees who work in the department where the company is hiring. This is an excellent idea to network and sneaks your walk into a company through the recommendation or reference. These employees can also give some tips on how to crack the interview or the right person to connect with for an interview.
- After collecting information from your study and networking, you would be more equipped to write a resume and cover letter that’s tailored to the job.
Never get discouraged if you don’t get a positive response or when you get rejected. Rejection in an interview does not mean that you are not the right guy. Mostly it means that you are not the right guy for that particular profile.
Communicate with people, develop professional networks, keep on trying and appearing for interviews.
If you follow these steps before applying for a job, you’ll be guaranteed to stand out against other job seekers. Although this strategy takes a little bit more time, it will get you positive results.
I wish you the best of luck with your job search. Still, if you face any problem then we are here to help you. Comment help, or send a connection request, you may also send your resume to [email protected] and we will try to help you.
